With a strong mission of promoting quality and safety of pediatric patients, the faculty members at Nationwide Children’s Hospital are extremely committed to the pediatric education of medical professionals.

Director of Child and Family Experience for the Sala Institute for Child and Family-Centered Care
New York University Langone Medical Center. 

Juliette Schlucter has been a leader in patient and family-centered car assessment, strategy and implementation for more than two decades.As Director of Child and Family Experience for the Sala Institute forChild and Family-Centered Care at New York University Langone Medical Center, her focus is on advancing models of partnership in safety, research, and healthcare education.

Garey Noritz, MD, FAAP, FACP
Division Director for Complex Health Care Program, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, that provides a medical home for children and adults with complex medical needs and neurodevelopmental disabilities. He is also Medical Director for the Cerebral Palsy Program.

Cathleen Opperman, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CPN
Professional Development Nurse Specialist for Professional Development at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, completing requirements for a Doctorate of Nursing Practice at The Ohio State University. As a teacher and mentor she has authored and edited numerous articles regarding professional development and EBP.

Intended Audience: Home Care Nurses, (RNs, CPNs, APNs, LPNs), Social Workers, Hospice and Palliative, Care providers, OT/PT and Speech Therapists, Discharge Planners, Care Coordinators, Home Health Administrators. CEs will be provided for nursing, therapy and social work.

Outcomes:

  • Identify evidence based skills, strategies and knowledge to integrate Family-
    Centered Care into the home

Cancellation Policy:
