Workshop Summary

As Medicare rates continue to decline, accurate billing is more critical than ever before.  This two day workshop will lay a concrete foundation and provide a more effective approach to the Medicare PPS regulation, with day one focusing on daily revenue cycle necessities, which includes the structure of the current Medicare Prospective payment system, the updated Outlier calculations, dealing with Medicare Secondary Payer and Pre-billing audits.

Day two will include a detailed look into Program Integrity Risks, Targeted Probe & Educate and the criteria used for determining if you are a target. We will discuss how best to do all you can do to protect your agency. Day two will also include a review of PEPPER reports and a look into the Value Based Purchasing methods. Last but certainly not least, the proposed Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM) will be outlined and reviewed.

GabouryPresenter:  Melinda Gaboury, is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Provider Solutions, Inc., an organization out of Nashville, TN that provides financial, reimbursement, clinical and operation services to the home health and hospice industries.  With more than 25 years of experience in Medicare Home Health, she is a presenter at both the state and national levels, and is interviewed frequently for national home health publications.  Ms. Gaboury is also the author of "Home Health Pocket Guide to OASIS C2: A Reference Guide for Field Staff."  Ms. Gaboury has no conflict of interest in regard to this program.

Continuing Education Information:  This program will provide contact hours to RNs & LPNs attending the workshop.  Attendance for the entire day’s program is required to earn Contact Hours.  A copy of the completed Continuing Education Certificate must also be submitted.  The program planners have no conflict of interest in regard to this workshop.  No commercial support has been provided for this program.

Cancellation

If you cancel your registration prior to five business days before the workshop, you will receive a refund less 25% for administrative costs.  All cancellations must be made in writing.  No refunds for cancellations or exchanges within four business day from the date of the workshop.  Substitutions in keeping with the registration policy (instruction #1) are permitted at any time.  If due to unforeseen circumstances OCHCH must cancel this event, registrants will receive a full refund.
